Getting the ‘Luxury Finish’

We’ve had the privilege of working alongside top event and creative agencies to bring to life stunning projects for luxury brands like Cartier, Chanel, Porsche, Dior, Piaget, Lamborghini, Bulgari and Louis Vuitton.

When it comes to luxury brand activations, delivering a high-end finish doesn’t always mean opting for the most expensive materials. You can achieve a premium look by focusing on strategic material choices and innovative techniques, all while keeping your budget in check.

Choosing the Right Materials

Choosing the right materials for the luxury finish

In an ideal world, expensive natural materials like mahogany wood, marble and precious metals would be used to achieve a high luxe design aesthetic. We love working with those materials but they are usually budget-breakers and labour intensive to work with on short lead times.

We support our clients in sourcing similar more reasonably priced alternatives like laminates that can deliver a luxury appearance while staying within budget. For example, a scenic painted concrete effect or concrete laminate can be as impressive as the real thing at a fraction of the cost.

Metal can also deliver enchanting surface effects. It is easily combined with other materials like MDF, acrylic and fabric. For a Cartier pop-up in Dubai Mall, we produced several electroplated showcases, integrated with graphics, MDF and focused spotlighting. The metallic tones created through electroplating can bring the “Wow” factor to any luxury project.

Skilled Craftsmanship for Luxury Finishes

Fabrication for Creed

Luxury demands a high level of detail and precision. Choosing the right materials and having a skilled team with effective methodologies are crucial. For instance, mitre folding, which creates seamless corners by folding material along scored lines, enhances finishes significantly. V-groove equipment allows materials like MDF and aluminium composite panel to fold neatly, avoiding labour-intensive manual lamination that often results in imperfect edges. Mitre folding is not only more efficient but also uses less material, leading to cost-effective assembly.

We integrate detailed construction methods into everything we build. Our technical design team work closely with our expert project managers to refine detailed construction drawings before they are executed by our internal craftsmen. This process ensures a consistency in quality and finish across all projects.
